BIO
Weronika Hempel (b. 1994, Poland) is a contemporary abstract artist currently living and working in Warsaw and Zamość. Her early academic training focused on graphic visualization, shaping a strong sensitivity to form and composition. Over time, her practice has evolved beyond these technical foundations into an intuitive exploration of geometry, emotion, and sensuality.
Floral motifs, subtly present in some of her compositions, are not literal depictions of nature but poetic metaphors for transience, vitality, and the energy that pulses through form and color. They symbolize the cycles of life — time, change, and the quiet beauty born of transformation and renewal.
Hempel’s work is defined by a deep engagement with rhythm, freedom, and sensuality. Rather than illustrating reality, her paintings invite an intimate, bodily experience of space and color.

The Jardins collection is about creating a personal, emotional connection through color, form, and rhythm. I don’t try to show the world as it is — instead, I want each painting to feel like an invitation into a quiet, intimate space where memories, feelings, and movement can be felt rather than explained. These works reflect change, renewal, and the cycles of life — much like a garden. Painting for me is a physical, intuitive process — it’s about feeling, not just seeing. (Voo Voo Lay)
